What is this platform and how does it work for catering businesses?

Our platform is built by the catering industry, for the catering industry. We connect clients with trusted catering professionals in their area through a simple, transparent system. Clients can freely search for caterers, compare profiles, and upload detailed job descriptions for upcoming events.

As a business, you can build a professional profile, showcase your services, and receive direct inquiries through your contact form. You can also browse posted jobs and apply or send inquiries to clients who are actively looking for caterers. We do not charge any commission — all communication and agreements are strictly between you and the client.

Simply head over to the + Add Your Business Page, register, fill out your business details and submit.

Creating a profile requires a business subscription of 9,60€ per month, which you can cancel at any time. This subscription gives you full access to all business features, including your profile, the direct contact form, and the ability to apply or send quotes to posted events on the job board.

A strong profile includes:

  • A clear description of your services

  • High-quality photos

  • Service categories you cover

  • Areas you operate in

  • Pricing or sample menus (optional)
    The more complete your profile, the more likely clients are to contact you.

Clients can message you directly from your profile. Their message is sent instantly to the email linked to your account, so make sure your contact details are up to date. You can also link your profile to any social media accounts and websites if applicable.

To apply or send quotes to a job listing, you need an active business listing which becomes active once you’ve filled out your dtails on the + Add Your Business Page and created a subscription.

Profiles are approved instantly and go live. If any details need clarification, we’ll contact you via email.

Absolutely. You can update photos, services, pricing, availability, and business details at any time from your account page.

Business Listing Setup

Why do I need to verify my business?

Verification is required to confirm that this listing belongs to your business. It helps prevent anyone else from using your name or brand, and ensures clients can trust your profile.

Enter the name you operate under. This could be your official business name or, if you are self-employed, your professional name. Make it clear and professional so clients can easily recognize you.

Tell clients about your services, specialties, and what sets your catering apart. Be clear, friendly, and highlight your experience. Think of this as your “shop window” – strong descriptions attract more inquiries.

Choose all relevant services your business offers, pick as many as you want. The Default Category determines your listing URL and how your business appears on the map. We recommend selecting one of the main categories as your Default Category if applicable, as this gives your profile more visibility, however, if you are highly specialized in a niche service, you’re perfectly free to focus solely on that.

Select all languages you or a member of your team can communicate in with clients. This helps clients find businesses that can serve them comfortably in their preferred language.

Adding an extra language can also help you attract tourist and international clients, which is a rapidly expanding sector for catering services.

Start typing the village, town, or city where your business is based, then select the correct option from the dropdown. The rest of the location details will be autofilled automatically. You don’t need to enter an exact address – this helps show your service area to clients.

Yes! Add your full website URL and business Facebook and Instagram pages. These links allow clients to learn more about your business and see examples of your work.

Upload a logo or profile picture for branding, and a Featured Image to showcase your catering services. You can also add up to 10 images in your gallery to highlight different events, dishes, or setups. High-quality images help your profile stand out in search results and attract more client inquiries.

You can upload .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png, .bmp, .ico, or .webp files. Make sure images are clear and professional.

Absolutely! You can update your business details, images, categories, and other information at any time to keep your profile current and appealing to clients. Edits can be made directly within your Account page for convenience.

Visibility & Marketing

How does Caterlista help me get more clients?

Your profile appears in search results, category pages, and local listings, increasing your chances of being discovered by event planners looking for the services you provide. Plus, the Event Job Board connects you directly with new opportunities, helping you find clients actively seeking your skills.

Yes, choose as many categories as you provide a service for. We recommend you choose your main service as your default category.

Complete all sections, upload high-quality photos, and respond quickly to leads. Active, well-presented profiles are prioritised in searches.

Payments & Bookings

Do clients book and pay through Caterlista?

You communicate and arrange bookings directly with clients. We don’t take payments, commission or fees or in any way act as a middleman.

No – you handle your own documentation with clients, including invoices, deposits, and contracts. Any legal responsibilities between yourself and any client lie entirely with you.

Yes – clients often post requests for multi-day or high-volume events, like festivals, conferences, or retreats. You can apply to any job that fits your capacity.

Account Management

How do I access my account and dashboard?

Once you’re logged in, click the Settings icon at the top of the page to access your personal dashboard. From there, you can manage your listings, view saved favorites, check reviews, update subscriptions and billing information, and edit account details.

Your account page is your control center. You can add and edit listings, view your saved favorites, check reviews from clients, manage subscriptions and billing details, update personal and business information, change your password, and even delete your account if needed.

Go to Items → My Listings. Here you can add a new listing if you’re looking to promote your services or collaborate on jobs. Existing listings can be edited at any time to update details, images, categories, or tags. Tip: Keep your business listing up to date to attract more client inquiries.

Saved Favorites allow you to keep track of job postings or other listings that interest you. You can view them anytime under My Favorites. Tip: Use this feature to monitor opportunities you may want to apply for later.

From your Dashboard → Account Details, you can update your email, business information, or other personal details. You can also change your password here to keep your account secure.

Yes. Navigate to Account → Delete Account. Your account and profile will b deleted within 24hrs. Please note that this action is permanent and will remove all your listings and data from the platform.
