Do I need to create an account to contact a caterer?
You can browse business profiles without an account. However, creating a free account allows you to contact businesses directly, save favourites and post jobs on the Event Job Board.
How do I find caterers in my area?
You can use the search function to browse catering businesses by category, service type, or location. This makes it easy to find professionals who match your event needs. We recommend searching within 50kms of your location, many caterers will happily travel.
Can I use Caterlista for any type of event?
Yes — Caterlista is suitable for private parties, weddings, corporate functions, festivals, and more. You can search for caterers based on the type of service you require.
Finding the Right Caterer
How do I search for catering businesses?
Simply browse through listings on the search page to find caterers offering the services you need in your chosen location. Use available filters to narrow your search.
What information can I see on a business profile?
Business profiles include descriptions of services offered, areas covered, languages spoken, gallery images, a direct contact inquiry form, approx. service location and more.
Can I contact more than one caterer?
Absolutely. You can contact multiple businesses to compare availability, services, and quotes for your event.
How do I know which caterer is right for my event?
We recommend contacting businesses directly to discuss your requirements, request quotes, and ask any questions before making a decision.

How do I contact a catering business?
Each business profile includes a contact form which allows you to message them directly.
What happens after I send a message?
Your message is sent directly to the catering business, who will respond to you using the contact details you provide.
Will I receive replies through Caterlista or by email?
Replies are sent directly to your email by the catering business. Emails go to the address you enter in the contact form.
Is there any cost to contact a business?
No — contacting catering businesses through Caterlista is completely free.
Can I communicate directly with the caterer?
Yes — all communication takes place directly between you and the catering business.
Listing an Event Job
What is the Event Job Board?
The Event Job Board allows you to post details of your event so catering businesses can review your requirements and contact you if they are interested.
How do I post a catering job?
Simply submit your event details using the job submission form, including the type of event, location, date, and services required.
What information should I include in my job post?
Providing clear information such as guest numbers, event type, location, date, and catering requirements will help businesses respond accurately.
Are my contact details visible to businesses when I post a job?
No — your contact details are not made public on your job posting. Catering businesses contact you through Caterlista’s secure contact form. Your email address or personal contact details are only shared if you choose to reply directly to a business.
Can multiple caterers contact me about my job?
Yes — once your job is posted, interested catering businesses may contact you directly.
Can I edit or remove my job post later?
Yes — you can manage your job posts from your account dashboard.
Is it free to post a job?
Yes — posting an event request on the Job Board is completely free.
Pricing & Payments
Does Caterlista charge any fees or commission?
No — Caterlista does not charge clients any fees or take commission from bookings.
Do I pay caterers through Caterlista?
No — Caterlista does not process payments. All payment arrangements are made directly between you and the catering business.
How do I receive quotes?
Caterers will contact you directly with availability, pricing, or further questions about your event.
Are prices shown on business profiles?
Some businesses may provide pricing information on their profiles, while others may provide quotes after discussing your event requirements.
Who do I make payment arrangements with?
All booking and payment arrangements are made directly with the catering business you choose to work with.

No — Caterlista is a platform that connects clients with independent catering businesses. We do not provide catering services ourselves.
Is Caterlista responsible for the caterer I choose?
Caterlista does not employ or manage the businesses listed on the platform. Any agreement, service, or arrangement is made directly between you and the catering provider.
Are contracts handled through Caterlista?
No — Caterlista is not involved in contracts, payments, or service agreements between clients and catering businesses.
Who is responsible for service quality and agreements?
All service details, contracts, and agreements are handled directly between you and your chosen catering business. We recommend confirming all arrangements in writing before your event.
Should I request written quotes or contracts?
